Il Grande Prato is a big and old farm-house in the middle of the Tuscany countryside : The Chiantishire, the Valdelsa, Firenze, siena,Pisa San Giminiano and the Etrurian sites surround you and are easy to reach Our Family welcomes a maximum of 40 people in rooms with two beds or more and two rustic siutes called “la casa gialla” (the yellow house). The original two-tier born (300 mq) has been converted into a friendly meeting room for guests, who will be able to play music, theatre, yoga and gym, or to organize work meetings, seminars, creative and rectrative activities, or just to relax, thanks to the wonderful view that surrounds us. In the wide dining room of the hay-loft or in the open air, under the fresh bowers or along the swimmingpool, we serve lunch an dinner, inspired by the traditional Tuscany cooking, together with a good Chianti DOC We organize cooking lesson, tasting, pic-nic and visits to wine-cellars and to olive ail-mills. We invite the guests to discover Tuscany, on their own, or with our professional, learned and adventurous guides! The art cities, the home-towns of the Greats(Leonardo, Dante, Boccaccio, Piero della Francesca, Puccini ) The handicraft, ceramics and the farm house “cotto toscano” the nature of the hills, the district Park and the Tirreno sea: It’s up to you! You will get to know the several aspects of a unique area in different ways: trekking or just walking around, horse-riding or mountain biking you will reach amazing places far from the craziness of the crowd Firenze, Pisa and Siena are reachable also by train (50 minutes) leaving from the small station of Castelfiorentino. The yang sport federations, in particular the ones of basketball and martial arts, consider Il Grande Prato an ideal place for their training, thanks to the several facilities located in Castelfiorentino. The families with children find a friendly and informal atmosphere, marking up the rhythms lost citylife, staying together in simplicity and armony with new games in the open air A minibus can accompany guests to and from the airport and the Castelfiorentino railway.
