Podernuovo is a farm of about 160 hectares. Located in the characteristic hills of Tuscany between Torrenieri and Montalcino, the land famous for Brunello wine. The Casella Farm is immersed in the characteristic landscape of Siena, in a panoramic position. It is an antique farmhouse which has been restored according to Tuscan architectural tradition. Built in the 12th century as a look-out post and transversal barricade of the Via Francigena, it has reached our time maintaining its name and position unaltered. It offers pleasant stays in the open countryside, in absolute tranquillity with the possibility to take walks around the farm and along the paths of the Val D’Orcia Park. Siena and Arezzo are easily reachable from the Casella Farm. For those who do not want to travel far, there are numerous occasions for amusement and knowledge, also…..gastronomy. Art and History lovers can visit famous Renaissance cities like Montalcino, S. Quirico D’Orcia, Montepulciano and Pienza, late Middle Age monasteries such as S. Antimo and Monte Oliveto Maggiore. In a short time it is possible to have a relaxing bath at the hot springs of Bagno Vignoni, Bagni S. Filippo and San Casciano dei Bagni, or trust oneself to the specialized centres in Chianciano, Montepulciano and Rapolano.
