The estate is 40 ha large and extends itself all around the historical XVIth century manor house that once was the Papal custom-house between Tuscany and Umbria. Recently the ancient farmhouses surrounding it,the RESTAURANT in the old oil mill, the Coach house, the Woodcutter's house have been restored and transformed into nicely furnished apartments and villas with a beautifull view on the Trasimeno lake.From the estate on foot or with the bicycle: the Hannibal battle course, the cycle path around the Trasimeno lake, the birdwatching in the park of the lake Trasimeno, the walk to Montegualandro and its castle, the walk to monte Castelluccio.
The lake Trasimeno is the largest lake of central Italy, an ideal resort for those who are fond of swimming, sailing, fishing. Along its shores there are many tiny fisherman's villages, old manors, small ports beaches. Two wonderful islands are frequently connected to the dry land by ferry boats.
Umbria and Tuscany, with art centres such as Siena, Cortona, Assisi, San Gimignano, Montepulciano, Perugia, Orvieto, Arezzo, Gubbio leave to the turist the embarrassment of the choice; Rome is 2 hours away, Florence one hour and a half either by train or by car.
